Dr. Vittal Anantatmula, PMP, is a professor in the College of Business, Western Carolina University. He is also a Global guest professor at Keio University, Japan and a director of the Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Center. He has extensive experience in academics and industry. Dr. Anantatmula has authored more than 60 publications. He received his MS and PhD from The George Washington University.

Project management sophistication is the state of enterprise practices in which success of projects is predictable and that the definitive measure of project management success continually improves with time. Sophistication in project management will lead to efficiency in operations and better profits.
