Professor Dr. Rudolf Krska is Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Head of the Institute of Bioanalytics and Agro-Metabolomics at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna/Tulln. As former Head of Health Canada's Food Research Division in Ottawa, he has also been a professor at Queen's University Belfast since 2018 and has led strategic research at the Austrian Competence Centre for Food & Feed Safety (FFoQSI) since 2017. Rudolf is one of the most cited researchers in the area of food safety worldwide. In 2015, he was appointed Distinguished Professor of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He has received 15 scientific awards and is (co-)author of more than 460 SCI publications, which have been cited more than 18,000 times.Dr. Mari Eskola, PhD, Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert, Medfiles Ltd Mari obtained her PhD degree in food science from the University of Helsinki, Finland. She has 25 years of international expertise in food and feed chemical safety and research from the European Union and European national organisations and industry. She worked for 10 years in Italy at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), on developing risk assessments of contaminants in foods and feeds, where she was also an acting and deputy head of the EFSA Contaminants Unit. Currently, she is Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert at Medfiles Ltd, Finland, where she provides food and feed businesses with food and feed regulatory consultancy advice.Professor Chris Elliott, PhD, FRSC, FRSB, MRIA, OBEChris is currently Professor of Food Safety and founder of the Institute for Global Food Security at Queen's University Belfast. He served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor responsible for the Medical and Life Sciences Faculty between 2015 and 2018. He was appointed the ASEAN Professor for Global Food Security in 2022. Chris led the independent review of Britain's food system following the 2013 horsemeat scandal. He co-ordinated a flagship Horizon 2020 project involving 16 European and 17 Chinese partners on food safety. In 2017, he was awarded an OBE. He has published more than 500 peer-reviewed articles, many of them relating to the detection and control of agriculture and food.
