Canyürek, ÖzlemÖzlem Canyürek is a cultural policy researcher and lecturer. She studied sociology, cultural management, and cultural policy in Istanbul. In 2021 she completed her doctorate at the Institute of Cultural Policy at Universität Hildesheim. Her research areas include critical diversity discourses in cultural policy and the pluralisation of the German performing arts scene. She teaches on diversity-led perspectives and intercultural approaches in cultural policy, performing arts, and cultural education.

She delineates the framework conditions of a receptive cultural policy to envision cultural diversity in motion to enable the production and dissemination of multiplicity of thoughts, experiences, knowledge, worldviews, and aesthetics of an intercultural society.
