Molecular and cellular mechanisms of cardiovascular regulation

The need for greater understanding of the pathophysiology of cardiovascular diseases is now more critical than ever because modern advances in basic and clinical sciences have extended the average life expectancy. Research into cardiovascular diseases has become increasingly diversified with the introduction of molecular biological techniques, and major advances in therapeutic strategies have been achieved in cardiovascular physiology and pharmacology. This book includes up-to-date findings in the field, presented by researchers from Japan, Europe, and the United States at the Sendai International Symposium on Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms of Cardiovascular Regulation held in May 1995 in Sendai, Japan.
