Saved by the Word

Born in the UK following the second world war and experiencing the post war hardships along with many families. My memories of playing on bombed out buildings and growing in a world without mobile phones and the Internet are distant now. Somewhere and somehow I felt the presence of God in my life. For too many years I never fully committed to finding out about the God that I had heard about. Eventually I moved to Perth in Western Australia, where I am living today with my wife. We have four adult married children and fourteen grandchildren. I am an artist in the mediums of Oil and Acrylic. Art has been my hobby since retiring from paid work. My wife and I are Christians and I enjoy facilitating the Church services and events. Along with my wife we are fully committed to the word of God as written in the Bible from beginning to end.

The Word of God came into the world. By that word we can not only know God but begin a Father - Child relationship that will continue into forever. The word reveals why we are here, what God is doing in our lives and where we are going. Without the word we would not, and could not know God and his wonderful plan for all who believe in his word. We all have freedom to believe in what we regard as truth. However when it comes to the big questions in life such as, why am I here; is there a greater purpose in life; is there life after death; then there is only one truth and that is found in the word from God. A third of my life was dedicated to me and my loved ones, I didn't give much thought to God. Only through his word was I awakened to the truth that there is a reason for life here on earth. I was awakened to the truth about the purpose of my life. I found the truth about the big question, is there life after death. We all need a start, we all need some couching into the scriptures. I was given tha early start and I am overjoyed with the journey that followed. Our lives started with the word, it continues because of the word and the word brings knowledge and love into our lives.
