She also has 1 granted patent in her name titled "Method for preparation of highly fluorescent biocompatible Sulphur doped graphene quantum dots from affordable agro-industrial bio-waste cane molasses using hydrothermal synthesis for bioimaging application".  Her research area spans from biomaterial engineering to wound healing and tissue regeneration.

Dr. S M Paul Khurana, PhD, is a retired professor of biotechnology and head of the University Science Instrument Centre, Amity University, Haryana, Gurgaon. Earlier, he served as the vice chancellor of Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur, from 2004 to 2009, project coordinator AICRP (Potato) from 1994 to 2004, and director of the Central Potato Research Institute, Shimla, from 2002 to 2004. He is the founder director of Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Gurgaon Haryana; Dean, Science, Engineering and Technology; consultant at CIP/FAO, 1992, 1996, and 1997. He has more than fifty-four years of experience in pathology, virology, and nanotechnology. He has published numerous research papers, reviews/chapters, and authored or edited a few books.

This book summarizes the fundamental processes and mechanisms of the green synthesis of nanomaterials. It also reviews the potential applications of green synthesized products to environmental remediation in terms of antimicrobial activity, catalytic activity, removal of pollutants dyes, and heavy metal ion sensing. Further, the book examines nanotechnological advances in green chemical sensors for environmental proposes, focusing on the detection of contaminants in soil and water. The chapter also illustrates effect of development and research activities on environmental remediation using green nanotechnology. The possible hazards associated with nanomaterials and the harmful effects that may result from the exposure of aquatic animals to nanoparticles are also addressed in this book. Towards the end, the book explores the ethical and social implications of nanotechnology. This book offers material ideally suited for courses of nanoscience and technology students of any other fieldof science or engineering.
