Krishnadeva raya ki ganana samrat ashok, samudragupt aur harshavarddhan jaise mahanayakon ke samakaksh ki jati hai. isi prakar tenaliram ki ganana achary chankya ki tarah kotnitigy, birbal ki tarah chatur, hajirjawab aur shalin hasyakar ke roop mein ki jati hai. yah pustak tenaliram aur raja krishnadeva raya ke beech ghatne wali 74 ghatanaon ka kahaniyon ke roop mein rochak, shikshaprad va nitiparak baton ka sankalan hai.
Pratyek kahani ke ant mein kahani se milane wali shiksha, aur usase sambandhit niti aam bhasha mein is dhang se prastut kiya gaya hai, jo atmasat karane mein saral ho. lekhak ne apane desh ki lok-parampara ko drishtigat rakhate huye ukt kahaniyon ko apane shabdon mein, rekhachitron ke madhyam se prastut kiya hai. ye kahaniyan desh-kaal ki seema mein nahin bandhi ja sakatin.

Tenaliram was one of the mantras (Ashtadiggajas) of King Krishnadeva Raya, the founder of the Vijayanagara Empire, the king's chief advisor and king-jester. He was one half-pillar and pride of the king's royal assembly (Bhuvan-Vijayam). The reign of Krishnadeva Raya is believed to date from 1509 to 1529.
Krishnadeva Raya is counted equivalent to great persons such Ashoka, Samudragupta and Harshavardhana. Similarly, Tenaliram is counted as a diplomat like Acharya Chanakya, a torso like Birbal, Surajajb and a gentle comedian.
