La Guida spirituale di De Molinos è uno dei capolavori della mistica spagnola del Seicento. Presentata qui in una nuova traduzione, viene inserita dal prefatore nella storia del quietismo italiano e francese; il suo contenuto è così riesaminato alla luce dei nuovi significati che la mistica ha assunto per la moderna ricerca storica e degli echi laicizzati che essa ha avuto in un filone importante della cultura contemporanea.-----De Molino’s Guida spirituale is one of the masterpieces of 17th-century Spanish mystical literature. It is presented here in a new translation and the author of the preface situates it in the historical context of Italian and French Quietism. Thus, its content is re-evaluated by taking into account both the new meanings mystical literature has acquired in modern historical research and the secularized echoes of mysticism in an important trend of contemporary culture.
