Ms. Denise Blais is a graduate of UQAM in political science with a concentration in analysis. Research and history have always fascinated her. Curious to learn more about her family, she was led to do her genealogy.
France was the country of my ancestors! All of them came to colonize Quebec. Leaving by boat for a few months, men and women travelled the ocean and the dangers in order to establish themselves on lands where everything was to be done. From 1638 to 1671: Pierre Blais (Anne Perreault, daughter of the king), Robert Rivard dit Loranger, Louis Bolduc (Elizabeth Hubert, daughter of the king) and Charles Lesieurs dit Désaulniers all came to this country to found a family and make it the one we know today.
