Maciel, Edisson Sávio de GóesEdisson Sávio is Mechanical Engineering graduated at UFPE (Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil), has Master degree in Thermal Engineering by UFPE, and Doctor degree in Aeronautical Engineering by ITA (Aeronautical Technological Institute, Brazil). As researcher has 194 publications involving papers and books and 102 publications in journals.
The study of symmetrical algorithms is a traditional and very special area of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). As main focus of actuation, CFD leads with centered and high order algorithms, spatial discretization, mesh generation, etc. In such cases, the numerics are privileged in relation to the physics. Symmetrical schemes are developed to proportionate good quality level and good accuracy to describe the flow field. In parallel with the centered schemes, the fascinating subject of a magnetic field imposed over an aerospace configuration is stimulant for CFD researches. The Maxwell equations provide the necessary conditions to solve the flow around an aerospace vehicle and proportionate that interesting aspects of these flow field be investigated. The objective of this book is to introduce for under-graduated, graduated, and post-graduated students some concepts and applications of centered schemes over reactive gas formulation, with and without turbulence, under the conditions of reentry flows submitted to a magnetic field and to implement their own algorithms based on these ideas.
