Carbonate reservoirs are the maximum types of oil reservoirs all over the world, which are generally more complicated to generate than are conventional sedimentary formations. One of the proposed methods for altering wettability of formation rock is enhancing the recovery by injecting nanoparticles to the formation whereas the other suggested method is low salinity water injection. In this book, these two subject has been investigated while the mechanisms includes wettability alteration and Interfacial tension have been elucidated in details. Moreover, the researches based on utilizing nanoparticles and low-salinity water for potentially Enhanced oil recovery have been reviewed.
