Abdelhamid Eldeep, Ashraf
Dr. Ashraf has obtained his MSc 2013 and MD degree 2019 in surgical oncology from National Cancer Institute (NCI), Cairo University. He worked as a specialist at Kasr El Ainy Hospital, Cairo University and now he works at Children Cancer Hospital, Egypt. He is an author of many papers and a speaker in 60 international conferences.
The premise of this work is the realization that cancer cannot be treated by single specialty. The surgeon, medical oncologist and radiation oncologist should not work in the secluded sphere of his/her own domain. Instead, successful management of the cancer patient should incorporate the best that each of these specialties has to offer. Added to the list of the necessary healthcare professionals are genetic counselors, pain specialists and nutrition experts. This is a prospective cohort study conducted in the National Cancer institute Cairo University to determine the resectability criteria in pancreatic tumors. Treatment for pancreatic cancer depends on the stage and location of the cancer as well as on your overall health and personal preferences. For most people, the first goal of pancreatic cancer treatment is to eliminate the cancer, when possible. When that isn't an option, the focus may be on improving your quality of life and preventing the cancer from growing or causing more harm. Treatment may include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy or a combination of these.
