"Zauber Kalt" ("Sorcery Cold"), the first part of a novel trilogy, was published in 2015. - Helmut Barthel works as a publisher and editor-in-chief, in which function he has written a number of seminal articles in the areas of politics, philosophy and sport. It is eminently possible, that my memories have lost their sharpness or that I confuse somewhat the circumstances, times and places of important and even random events and encounters. I'm not even all that certain, whether I haven't frequently experienced things quite differently to others, who were with me in the same situation. Undoubtedly, however, the thread of my personal fate has become inextricably entwined with that lineage, whose credibility and exactitude render the objections vis-à-vis its implications and its validity null and void. Being the mother of all unfinished battles this lineage nourishes itself from reality. - On the basis of this conclusion, everything I have to report can be taken as an authentic and fair account of actual events. In this spirit, I would like to tell my story, starting at the beginning for as long as my pen guides me and my memories keep me awake.
