Passed M.Sc. Zoology in 1986 from Govt. College University Lahore, Pakistan and started teaching as Lecturer in Department of Higher Education, Punjab. While pursuing further studies, completed M.Phil Zoology in 2001 and PhD. in 2015. In the meantime, was promoted to the Professor of Biology.Ichthyology is the main field of research.
This is a part of research work which encompasses the detailed description of various fish species collected by the author himself from the part of the River Chenab located in Pakistan. It hopefully, will serve as a record for comparison during the latter studies. It is important especially under the changing water quality due to the heavy loads of industrial and urban pollutants, unpredictable water levels, overfishing and other environmental havocs.
