Prof. Dr. Walter Grünzweig is Professor of American Literature and Culture at TU Dortmund University and specializes in transatlantic literary and cultural relations.

This is the first collection of essays to take a pan-European perspective in the study of hip-hop. How has it travelled to Europe? How has it developed in the various cultural contexts and how does it reference the American cultures of origin?
