Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory has been revolutionising education and language learning. As a reaction, many research studies have investigated the theory in terms of its practical applications and implications within education. This book reports on an experimental study drawing on the theory and which was conducted within an Egyptian pre-service teacher education programme with the aim of developing some oral, functional communication skills in English for some language learners (fresh students). Drawing on a flexible multiple intelligences framework compatible with my specific context and purposes, multiple learning channels were devised to deliver the same content of the training programme. Eventually, Fresh students could resolve some of the communication difficulties they had experienced after joining the English section at Assiut College of Education. A training programme utilised four intelligences according to which all learning activities and tasks were designed. Further, the book provides a detailed theoretical background on the theory and its educational implications as far as English language learning and oral communication are concerned.
