Beschreibung:

I am a recently graduated orthopedic surgeon. I am currently doing mostly trauma and hand surgeries and have my interest in doing research in hand related problems.
Surgical site infection (SSI) is the commonest complication of any surgery and are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality as well as increase in economic implication to the patient so this study was done to determine the patterns of infection, the identification of common causative organisms and their antibiotic sensitivity profile to be able to come up with protocols that will help in minimising the surgical site infection rates in a Third World country.
