Edisson Sávio is a PhD researcher that works in Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), in Brazil. He has more than 160 published papers, being 82 in international journals. He is Mechanical Engineer, with Master degree in Thermal Engineering and Doctor degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He was born in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil.
This book was written to students and engineers that like the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) area; in other words, that like of programming algorithms to the resolution of physical problems. Some familiarity with code programming is required. However, through the computation courses teaching at the Universities the engineering student and common areas will have the capacity of programming the codes presented in this book and much more of his/her interest. The applications of this book aim aeronautical and aerospace problems. This book presents the results of simulations of reactive magnetic field in two-dimensions, TVD, ENO and UNO unstructured two- and three-dimension applications, turbulence ¿cold gas¿ problems, and TVD and ENO structured high resolution schemes in three-dimensions. Magnetic formulation is considered and implemented in the Maciel centered scheme. High order resolution is analyzed. On an unstructured context, ten algorithms are studied and on a structured context, the Yee, Warming and Harten scheme and the Yang scheme are compared. Turbulence is taken into account by considering the Jones and Launder and Wilcox and Rubesin models. Good results are obtained.
