Dipak PatelAuthor is master of science in Agriculture faculty with Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science. Right now he is pursuing Ph.D in Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science at B.A.College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand-388110. He was awarded with Junior Research Fellow.
An experiment was conducted at College Farm, N. M. College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari during the rabi season of 2012-2013 to study the "Effect of green manuring on soil physico-chemical properties and yield of sweet corn under South Gujarat condition". The treatment was 2 levels of green manuring (G0: Fallow G1: Green Manuring with Dhaincha) and 4 levels of recommended dose of fertilizers (F0: No fertilizer, F1: 50 % RDF, F2: 75 % RDF and F3: 100 % RDF) in FRBD with 4 replications.Maximum yield of sweet corn, it is recommended to apply 100 per cent RDF (120-60-60 kg N-P2O5 - K2O/ha) along with Dhaincha green manuring. This will also results in realizing higher net profit and BCR as well as result in significantly higher removal of nutrient and improved physico-chemical properties of soil.
