He is a Clinical scholar in Nursing and Medical Education holding Doctor of Nursing Science (PhD), Master of Philosophy Medical Education (Mphil), Diploma Advanced Nursing, RN.
The research study was conducted to determine the Antecedents of workplace stress on the productivity of nurses working in public health care institutions in Siaya sub county, Siaya County. Professional nursing is a complex profession with many stressful scenarios, which include long working hours, caring of patients, heavy workload and seeing deaths of patients who have improved. Workplace stress is the harmful physical and emotional response that can happen when there is a conflict between the what the job demands and what the employee is required to perform. Workplace stress among the nurses may reduce their work productivity. The main objective was to determine the Antecedents of workplace stress on the productivity of nurses in public health care institutions in Siaya sub county, Siaya County. The study may benefit the G.o.K, nurses and the patients i.e. prevention, intervention, and management of workplace stress so that patients can receive quality health care services. The study was carried out among the nurses working in public health care institutions within Siaya District, Siaya County.
