A Path to Gratitude: Find Your Enchanted Castle

As a mentor, Susan suggested to Aimee that she should write ten gratitudes a day for one entire year.  Aimee invited Susan to join her in this endeavor so that they could bear witness to each other and provide mutual encouragement during challenging times. Digging more deeply into the many layers of their lives, they began to see the ordinary as extraordinary. These daily gratitude exchanges helped them put a positive spin on anything and everything that was happening in their lives.  

It became an odyssey of awakening which evolved into a plethora of healing gifts. It was a journey of self-acceptance, which led to setting healthy boundaries.  Even if Aimee was overwhelmed by her many life roles, she gave gratitude for a good cup of coffee or simply reading to her girls at bedtime.  Susan found new depths of understanding through Aimee’s perspective - it was a gift to have two women - at different stages of their lives - come together to share with honesty and trust.
