Beth Burgmeyer writes fiction and creative nonfiction. Her work has appeared in Ponder Review, The Ocotillo Review, Santa Clara Review, Miracle Monocle, and others. She won first place in the CIBA Somerset Awards for Literary and Contemporary Fiction and was a finalist in the Acacia Fiction Prize. Beth is a mental health counselor specializing in equine assisted psychotherapy. She lives near Des Moines, Iowa with her family and a menagerie of animals.
