For generations, humans and magical fairy tale creatures lived in harmony. That is, until the government imprisoned the creatures half a century ago. Now, Simon, a 12-year-old orphaned troll, yearns for freedom and a better life beyond captivity at the mythical Dragon Lake, which lies past the last mountain. Past the Last Mountain follows Simon's daring quest for freedom accompanied by the wise faun Kate and the dragon Willa. Together, they must evade a relentless pursuit across a land that despises them, overcoming hatred with hope on their journey for a peaceful life beyond the last mountain. This thrilling adventure explores themes of captivity, fear, and persevering through adversity with heart and imagination.
