As a collegiate athlete, Pat represented this country as a baseball player for Team USA. The 1988 USA Baseball team won the gold medal in Seoul, Korea. Pat was an All-American and Academic All-American at Baylor University, where he was later inducted into the Baylor Hall of Fame.
