A Christmas Cracker

A Christmas Cracker serves as a Godsend to the overstretched parson, headmaster or preacher during one of the most exciting and busy times of the Christian calendar.  A collection of ready-made and readily accessible Christmas services, tried and tested over the course of Reverend Parker’s 25 years as a rector, yet still very much applicable to the modern minister.

This is in part a ‘how to’ guide yes, but it’s more than that. It’s about active learning, imprinting with God, making Christianity accessible and memorable. Arranged over three parts, Reverend Parker first sets out a series of stand-alone services suitable for a school assembly or sermon slot with simple, symbolic aids and props to bring the act of worship to life. In part II there follows a selection of full-length major services that can be reproduced with or without adaptation and with practical pointers such as how to recruit willing helpers to enable these plans to come together.
