Beschreibung:

Nick Holland was born in Barnsley, UK, in 1971. He first encountered the Brontës when asked to read 'Wuthering Heights' during his first week at University; it was the beginning of a lifelong love for the writing family who have become synonymous with his native Yorkshire. He is now a renowned biographer, whose previous books include 'In Search of Anne Brontë' (2016) and 'Emily Brontë A Life in 20 Poems' (2017), both published by The History Press, as well as 'Aunt Branwell and the Brontë Legacy' (Pen & Sword, 2018). In 2016 he became the first author to complete a book signing in the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth, and he has since given lectures on the Brontës nationwide.
With 2020 marking the two-hundredth anniversary of the birth of Anne Brontë, "New York Times"-declared 'leading Brontë expert' Nick Holland engages with Anne's character and her tragically short life, along with the nature of "Agnes Grey" and "The Tenant Of Wildfell Hall" as the most radical Brontë texts. Features a newly discovered essay by Anne.
