She lives in the Los Angeles area.
An exploration of the truth behind our struggle with fat and how we can make it work for us.
In The Secret Life of Fat, Sylvia Tara sheds a brand-new light on one of the most misunderstood macronutrients of the human body. Revealing and always surprising, readers will discover a powerful new understanding of what body fat is, how much of it is good for them and the 'real' foods that put it 'on' and take it 'off'. Despite popular perception, fat is not an inert blob, but a dynamic, smart and self-sustaining body part that influences everything from aging and immunity to mood and fertility. It impacts on our hormones, our brain and other vital organs. The Secret Life of Fat weaves together historical, cultural and medical research into one of the must-read health books of the year.
