Beschreibung:

Jason Siff was a Theravada monk in Sri Lanka from 1987 to 1990. His novel, "King Bimbisara's Chronicler" (included in this collection), was originally published by Sarvodaya Vishva Lekha in 2001. His Buddhist nonfiction includes "Unlearning Meditation" (2010) and "Thoughts Are Not the Enemy" (2014), both published by Shambhala Publications.
These three tales belong to the same genre as Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. The first two tales revolve around the Buddha, while the third tale takes place a thousand years later, when the Bodhisattva Maitreya appears, but only to Asanga's eyes.
