Beschreibung:
Khalil Gibran's early years were spent in the breathtakingly beautiful countryside of his native Lebanon, so different from the polluting forces of the boston ghettos to which he emigrated with his family in 1895, at the age of twelve. Following a period of study in Paris, Gibran moved to New York, and it was there that he was to compose his most famouse book, the universally acclaimed The Prophet. He died in New York in 1931 at the age of forty-eight.
One of the greatest poetic masterpieces, a perennial bestseller, in an elegant gift edition
