Fr. Raoul Plus, S.J. (1882-1958), wrote more than forty books to help Christians understand God's love for the soul. For his wartime services, Fr. Plus was decorated with the Croix de Guerre. A renowned preacher and retreat master, Fr. Plus also served as professor of religion and spiritual director at the Université Catholique at Lille and taught at the Institut Catholique in Paris.
