ABOUT THE AUTHORS:Gilbert Le Gras was a foreign correspondent with Reuters, reporting on politics and economics around the world. He joined the Canadian public service in 2007, and now works as a Senior Analyst at the Privy Council Office. Le Gras has written several books, including The New New World: the re-emerging markets of South America, the Olivier & Joaquin series, and Exploring our Roots. Gilbert lives in Ottawa, Canada, with Magno.

Olivier Le Gras graduated from a leading Buenos Aires' bilingual international baccalaureate high school, Colegio De La Salle, in December 2019. Olivier decided to spend his gap year with his father, Gilbert, in Ottawa. He is now in his first year of an undergraduate degree in e-commerce at Argentina's Universidad de San Andres. Olivier lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with his younger brother Joaquin and his mother.

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR:
Katharina Schopohl is a visual artist who has illustrated a dozen children's books, painted more than 50 murals, and exposed her work in public places, art fairs, and galleries. Katharina has a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and a certificate in Art Education. Katharina and Gilbert are engaged to be married either later in 2021 or in 2022. Katharina lives in St-Augustin de Mirabel, Quebec, with her daughter Bianca.
The fourth book in the Olivier & Joaquin series, Navigating the River of Time, sees the two brothers travel back in time, where ancestors help them through the pivotal 1746 Battle of Rocourt in Europe, Mexico's Cinco de Mayo and Battle of Puebla in 1862, and the final days of World War II, before working the family farm in the Midwest of North America immediately after that war and helping their grandmother build a school in Asia.
