Huang Cong is a full professor and doctoral supervisor at Shaanxi Normal University, specializing in sports culture and social development. He has completed several projects sponsored by national research foundations and has authored over 30 academic papers and four monographs. His research has been recognized with awards from the Ministry of Education and Shaanxi Province. Gao Fen is an associate professor and has been working in the School of International Studies at Shaanxi Normal University China since 1999. She also serves as the executive director of Shaanxi Translators Association. Prof. Gao teaches a series of interpreting courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and comprehensive English for PhD candidates. During 2009-2010 and 2015-2016, she stayed at the University of Massachusetts in the US and Nottingham University in the UK respectively as a visiting scholar. Prof. Gao is specialized in the teaching and practice of translation and interpreting, as well as EFL for years. She has published more than 20 papers in a number of Chinese and foreign academic journals over the last decade. Her publications cover a wide range of areas, including translation, interpreting, teacher education, English language teaching, and teaching assessment. She has also published 11 translated works and hosted or participated in a dozen of national and provincial-level projects on translation and language teaching, including Silk Road: The Study of Dram Culture, a National Academic Translation project funded by Chinese Fund for the Humanities and Social Sciences in 2015.
