Richard A. Santillán is professor emeritus of ethnic and women studies at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Coauthors are José M. Alamillo, professor and coordinator of the Chicana/o Studies Program at California State University Channel Islands; Anna Bermúdez, curator of collections and exhibits at the Museum of Ventura County; Juan J. Mexican American Baseball in Ventura County pays tribute to the legendary teams and players from Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Santa Paula, and other surrounding neighborhoods.
