The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines "perseverance" as "continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition." All successful authors know that perseverance is needed to overcome repeated obstacles such as writer's block, grammatical puzzles, and rejection notices. It often takes years to become an overnight success. This anthology from the Space Coast Writers' Guild (SCWG) is a collection of inspirational stories about digging deep and never giving up, doggedly advancing towards your goals in the face of adversity, and of bounding over the finish line - no matter how long it takes you to get there. The two dogs on the book's cover are good examples of perseverance in action: they'll keep going and going until they unearth their prize buried in the sand.
