Beschreibung:

George Godwin was born London in 1889. He went to several private schools and did his junior high at a Realschule in Dresden. He left England for British Columbia in 1912 and tried to make a living as a fruit grower. He was unsuccessful financially and returned to England in 1916 and signed up as a lieutenant in the Canadian Infantry. It was only a year before he was invalided out. After the War he studied law on weekends and was soon called to the bar. Although he practiced law and kept chambers at the Middle Temple (about which he wrote a history) the main focus in his life was the twenty books that he wrote. They cover a wide breadth: a history of Captain George Vancouver, a book surmising what Canada's future would be like, "The Great Mystics", Japan's New Order (1942), etc. See godwinbooks.com for some free reads.
