Leon Aron was born inMoscow and came to the United States as a refugee from the Soviet Union. He isthe author of Roads to theTemple: Truth, Memory, Ideas, and Ideals in the Making of the RussianRevolution, 1987-1991 (Yale UniversityPress, 2012); Russia'sRevolution: Essays, 1989-2006 (AEI Press, 2007); and Yeltsin: ARevolutionary Life (St. Martin's Press, 2000). From 2014 to 2020, he served on the board of trustees of the US Agencyfor Global Media. He holds a PhD from Columbia University and is a seniorfellow at the American Enterprise Institute.
