Die Verarbeitung des Themas in 'Death of a Salesman' bringt ihm 1949 Weltruhm. Er erhielt u.a. 1949 den Pulitzerpreis, 2002 den Prinz-von-Asturien-Preis und 2003 den Jerusalem-Preis. 2005 verstarb Arthur Miller.
