Steven Pinker, geboren 1954, studierte Psychologie in Montreal und an der Harvard University. 20 Jahre lange lehrte er am Department of Brain and Cognitive Science am MIT in Boston und ist seit 2003 Professor für Psychologie an der Harvard University.
