Alison Taylor studierte Architektur, bevor sie Sozialarbeiterin und Bewährungshelferin wurde und sich vor allem um vernachlässigte Kinder kümmerte. Für die Kinder trat sie am Ende auch in den Zeugenstand, gegen ihre Arbeitgeber - was zu einer großangelegten Untersuchung führte und ihr einen Bürgerrechtspreis einbrachte. 1997 erschien hierzulande ihr erster Roman "Simeons Braut", 1999 "In schuldiger Nacht". Alison Taylor hat selbst zwei Kinder und lebt im Norden von Wales.
Tracy Fitzgerald war in der Modeindustrie u. a. im Bereich Design für Womenswear international tätig. Gegenwärtig unterrichtet sie das Fach Mode an der University of the West of England.
