Prof. Yanping Yuan is the Co-Leader of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Southwest Jiaotong University, in China. He is Director of the National & Provincial Collaborative Innovation Center for Building Energy Efficiency and Green Building, and has won several national honorary titles, including National Young and Middle-Aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions and the National "Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project?, which are high-level academic titles in China. He received the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technology Innovation Award in 2021. Prof. Yuan's current interests cover both fundamental (heat and moisture transfer, two-phase heat and mass transfer) and applied aspects (PCM energy storage and renewable energy application). He is the Editor-in-Chief of Energy and Built Environment, Subject Editor of the Journal of Thermal Science, Associate Editor of the Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, and Editorial Board Member of Renewable Energy, Sustainable Cities and Society, and Energies. He has led 28 research projects, has published 185 SCI papers, and was selected in the "World's Top 2% Scientists 2020". He has supervised 23 PhD students and 9 postdoctoral research fellows.
