International Students in Higher Education

Linda Katherine Newsome is an Academic Consultant and Cross-Cultural Expert with LKN Academic Consultants, UK and USA. Graduating in 2011 with a Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Management, and Learning and Teaching from the University of Leicester, she had previously held the positions of Lecturer in Education at both Notre Dame University and American University of Technology in Lebanon.

This book addresses the gulf between the idealized vision of internationalization in higher education and the realities experienced by international students studying in western countries, with implications for the future development of more culturally sensitive and responsive universities, in the complex and challenging post 9/11 world.
