As can be seen in any large geographic or political region (e.g., the United States, the European Union) the identification and understanding of the different cultures within the area is important to understanding the history, the choices and the conflicts within that region. This book continues the dynamic, current problem-oriented approach to the field of Andean Archaeology that began with Andean Archaeology I and Andean Archaeology II.
