Malcolm MacPherson, geboren 1943, wuchs in Kalifornien auf. Nach sechs Jahren bei den U.S. Marines begann er seine journalistische Arbeit beim "Time Magazine". 1968 wechselte er zu "Newsweek" und berichtete als Reporter aus Kriegsgebieten. Malcolm MacPherson verstarb 2008.
