Louisa loves to hike, bike, and take long walks in nature. She is inspired by the birds, rocks, shells, and all of the cool, creative potential she sees in things found just laying around. Her illustrations are made mostly using the treasures found on these walks. Even Layla and her balloon friends each have a rock inside of their little balloon-bodies.
When Little Bird's siblings hop up to the edge of the nest and, one by one, fly off into the sky, he is left behind to confront his fear of taking that first scary leap into the air.
