Tatiana C. String is a specialist in the art and culture of Tudor England. Her book Art and Communication in the Reign of Henry VIII (2008) explores the role and nature of the visual arts in the service of Henry VIII. She was Senior Lecturer in the History of Art at the University of Bristol until 2010 when she moved to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries.Marcus Bull is a specialist in central medieval history, with particular interests in the history of France, aristocratic culture, and the early crusade movement, as well as medieval historiographical culture. Among his many books, he has written on aspects of medievalism in Thinking Medieval (2005). Formerly at the University of Bristol, since 2010 he has been the Andrew W Mellon Distinguished Professor of Medieval and Early Modern Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries.
