I, Claudius

Robert Graves (1895-1985) war Dichter, Romanautor, Kritiker und Historiker. Berühmt wurde er als Autor von Ich, Claudius, Kaiser und Gott und als Überlebender und Dichter des ersten Weltkriegs. Er ist eine der herausragende Persönlichkeiten der englischen Dichtung und Literatur des 20. Jahrhunderts. Neben seiner Arbeit als Romancier veröffentlichte Graves auch Fachbücher, besonders bekannt ist das Buch Die Götter Griechenlands. Seine gesamte Bibliographie umfasst insgesamt etwa 140 Bücher.
