Wälder faszinieren ihn durch ihre Schönheit und die unglaubliche Fülle an untereinander vernetzten Lebensformen. Neben den Waldlandschaften seiner europäischen Heimat kennt er die Wälder Costa Ricas, Kaliforniens und Südafrikas von längeren Auslandsaufenthalten.
