The book as its name suggests is an Overview of Enamel Defects and its management. Dental enamel is the hardest tissue in the body and consists of over 98% mineral and less than 2% organic matrix and water. Hence it is susceptible to get affected during its maturation process. This book consists mainly the Developmental defects of enamel (DDE) that are - hypoplasia and of diffuse and demarcated opacities. Fluorosis, amelogenesis imperfecta (AI), and even dentinogenesis imperfecta (DI) may be considered forms of Developmental Defects of Enamel.
