The Author: Paul Tarc is Assistant Professor in International Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada. He has taught in international and state schools in Ecuador, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Canada.

With the intensification of globalization, there is a growing consensus that "international education has come of age". This book examines how the changing conditions of the present have given rise to an altered set of meanings and uses for international education, using the International Baccalaureate (IB) as its focal point.
